Primary Purpose of Position: 
  • To ensure a safe workplace by ensuring workplace health and safety processors, procedures, and systems are in place and being complied with as per Food Industry People Groups Operational Management System (OMS) guidelines and host client requirements 
  • To holistically manage the onsite workforce, ensuring that the host client site is adequately manned and all employee and client related matters are addressed and resolved in a timely and appropriate manner 
  • To build relationships with key stakeholders to fortify operations 
  • To fulfil the vision, mission and value proposition of Food Industry People Group 
  • To deliver on KPIS 
  • To maintain strategic partnerships with clients and work collaboratively to continuously improve service offering 
  • To effectively grow number of People In Work (PIW) and Total Hours Worked (THW) 
  • To effectively manage absenteeism and reduce Turn Over percentage whilst increasing Retention 
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Foster and maintain formidable internal and external key relationships
  • Maintain a strategic partnership with key stakeholders and work collaboratively to continually improve service offering 
  • Oversee all areas of onsite operational account management, human resource and employee matters 
  • Maintain a commitment to performance in order to deliver contracted recruitment services and contractual service level agreements/stipulations 
  • Leadership of the onsite team using effective communication, coaching, training, development and performance management skills and methods
  • Create and maintain en environment of operational excellence and continuous improvement 
  • Implement protocols to deliver all contractual commitments defined in the client service agreement 
  • Oversee compliance in all relevant legislation and policy areas for both Food Industry People Group and the host client 
  • Consistently conduct research and initiate new strategic recruitment channels 
  • Ensure currency of OMS
  • Protect the company brand and reputation by ensuring your behaviour and conduct reflects a professional and corporate image at all times including during travel and onsite
  • Provide overarching health and safety leadership whist leading by example 
  • Meet or exceed critical numbers as defined by the group to deliver net profitability of the account to budge and ensure the site is adequately manned for production 
  • Ensure weekly KPIs are achieved or exceeded

Direct Reports: 
Onsite Recruitment and Retention Officer 

- Meat industry experience preferred but not essential
- Must have Australian Open Drivers Licence and own vehicle 
- Must have flexibility around working hours and availability 
- Exposure to key fundamentals of people management/Human Resources
- Must be willing to undertake and pass a pre-employment medical assessment, Drug & Alcohol Test and Q Fever Vaccination/Screening 
- Intermediate; Microsoft Office Suite skills and Computer Literacy
- Certificate in HR or related discipline preferred but not essential
