About the Role
 
Our client is one of Australia’s largest beef processing plants. Located just 26kms west of Toowoomba, the plant is a fully integrated slaughtering, fabricating, chilling, freezing, and rendering facility that processes up to 1200 cattle per day.
 
The Electrical Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for:
  • Establishing & delivering planned maintenance schedules
  • Breakdown management
  • Fault finding and diagnostic repairs of electronic equipment and machines
  • Electrical fitting and repair
  • Reliability improvement projects
  • Staff training, development & coaching
  • Allocation of resources and time management
  • Reporting & record keeping
  • Ensuring safe work practices and Standard Operational Procedures are followed at all times
About you
 
The successful candidates will hold AU recognised trade qualifications and demonstrate the following,
  • Firsthand exposure within a complex manufacturing environment - ideally within a red meat, protein, food or FMCG 
  • Ability to successfully lead and manage a highly productive & engaged team
  • Strong organizational and planning ability
  • Computer literacy and experience using maintenance system software
  • Effective root cause analysis, problem solving and trouble-shooting skills
  • Understanding of continuous improvement & operational efficiencies
  • Understands practical application of workplace health and safety
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills and relationship building
  • Ability to interact positively with a diverse and multi-cultural workforce
