About the Role
Our client is one of Australia’s largest beef processing plants. Located just 26kms west of Toowoomba, the plant is a fully integrated slaughtering, fabricating, chilling, freezing, and rendering facility that processes up to 1200 cattle per day.
The Electrical Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for:
- Establishing & delivering planned maintenance schedules
- Breakdown management
- Fault finding and diagnostic repairs of electronic equipment and machines
- Electrical fitting and repair
- Reliability improvement projects
- Staff training, development & coaching
- Allocation of resources and time management
- Reporting & record keeping
- Ensuring safe work practices and Standard Operational Procedures are followed at all times
The successful candidates will hold AU recognised trade qualifications and demonstrate the following,
- Firsthand exposure within a complex manufacturing environment - ideally within a red meat, protein, food or FMCG
- Ability to successfully lead and manage a highly productive & engaged team
- Strong organizational and planning ability
- Computer literacy and experience using maintenance system software
- Effective root cause analysis, problem solving and trouble-shooting skills
- Understanding of continuous improvement & operational efficiencies
- Understands practical application of workplace health and safety
- Highly effective interpersonal skills and relationship building
- Ability to interact positively with a diverse and multi-cultural workforce
